Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering.

The Rockland United Soccer Club is a volunteer organization. In 2007, we had to create a paid part time position for office administration due to a lack of volunteer commitment from our members. With well over one thousand players playing soccer, this Club cannot and will not survive if it is only run by the members of the RUSC Executive. Even though volunteering at the team level must continue we cannot overemphasize that the Club requires its fair share of volunteers as well. Those that choose not to volunteer at the team level, are encouraged to volunteer at the Club level in a different capacity.

While we understand that most families are involved in activities outside of soccer, we cannot provide our programs without the involvement of our members (adult players and parents).

Volunteers play a vital role in the delivery of all our programs. The Club has committed volunteers who work tirelessly to provide soccer for the children of our community. The Club has a very small number of volunteers performing a large number of volunteer duties which would be better shared across a greater number of volunteers.

  • the Volunteer Form provides a list of duties that can be performed
  • please note that the Volunteer form is to be submitted to the RUSC prior to starting your volunteer activity
  • a minimum of 4 hours of work, or completion of a specific task, is required in order for a family to be refunded their non-volunteer fee.
  • members must submit a Volunteer - Completion Form to RUSC to obtain their refund
