Coaching Courses
RUSC strongly encourages both Recreational Team and Competitive Team Coaches to review the following training programs:
- OSA "LTPD Coaching Pathway" - www.ontariosoccer.net/Coach.aspx
- Coaches for Competitive U10G, U11G, U10B, U11B or U12B Teams and who do not already have the Community Coach Certificates will be required to take the "Learning to Train" course (see http://www.ontariosoccer.net/Coach/Course/tabid/10728/language/e-US/Default.aspx for more information) and the "Make Ethical Decisions" (MED) module (see http://www.coachesontario.ca/nccp-training/competition-introduction/make-ethical-decisions/ for more information).
- Coaches for Competitive U12G, U13B Teams and older and who do not already have the Community Coach Certificates will be required to take the "Soccer for Life" course (see http://www.ontariosoccer.net/Coach/Course/tabid/10728/language/e-US/Default.aspx for more information) and the "Make Ethical Decisions" (MED) module (see http://www.coachesontario.ca/nccp-training/competition-introduction/make-ethical-decisions/ for more information)
- Coaches and Assistant Coaches of ERSL (L3, L4, T1), EODSA (L5) and OCSL (C) Teams are required to hold the Respect in Soccer Certificate which can be obtained after taking the on-line course (web page is only in English but the certificate is in both official languages). The course costs $30 plus tax (total of $33.90) which is payable online via PayPal. Please print your PayPal receipt and submit it to the Club for reimbursement.
